The summer of 2000, Brick-one was built in Sendagi.

Land where people meeting and living becomes "place."
The first brick, which is just placed here, indicates people's initial contact to the world...
We are alive and express in this place, as if the expression is the part of our life.
Also, smoke from the chimney is the evidence of our life.
"The smoke from the chimney" symbolizes what will happen at Brick-one.
Brick-one sometimes is isolated from the outside world and becomes mere personal space of expression. And other times, it becomes a part of the Sendagi community supporting its creative activities and life.
I really hope that Brick-one will bring inovative expression, creation, and time to all people who come to this place...
